Why I Changed My Mascot (and What It Means for HavenlyCount’s Future)

When I first launched HavenlyCount, I was just excited to finally take the leap into entrepreneurship. Like a lot of new business owners, I wanted my brand to feel approachable, fun, and memorable. That’s how my original mascot came to life—it was quirky, lighthearted, and gave my business a friendly face.

But as I’ve grown (and as HavenlyCount has started to take shape beyond “just bookkeeping”), I’ve felt God nudging me in a different direction. The more I leaned into my purpose and values, the more I realized that my mascot and branding needed to reflect something deeper—something with integrity, stewardship, and faith at its core.

This wasn’t about “rebranding for the sake of rebranding.” It was about aligning every part of my business with what I truly stand for.

Integrity Matters More Than Catchiness

Bookkeeping is about more than plugging numbers into QuickBooks. It’s about trust. People are literally handing me the behind-the-scenes story of their business and asking me to make sense of it. That’s not just data—it’s their hard work, their late nights, their dreams of building something bigger than themselves.

And if I’m asking people to trust me with that, then my brand needs to radiate the same integrity I bring to the work itself.

I don’t want HavenlyCount to just be known as “that bookkeeping business with the fun mascot.” I want it to be known as the business that stands firm in Christian values: honesty, stewardship, faithfulness, and service.

Stewardship Isn’t Just a Buzzword

When I think about why bookkeeping matters so much, it comes back to stewardship. Scripture reminds us again and again that what we’re given—whether time, talent, or treasure—isn’t truly ours. We’re called to be wise stewards of it.

For my clients, that means using their business as a tool for good. For me, that means running HavenlyCount in a way that reflects those same principles.

I don’t just help clients clean up their books. I help them see their numbers clearly so they can make wise decisions. I help them track their spending so they can build businesses that last. I help them plan for growth that serves—not drains—them.

And now, I also want the face of my business—my mascot and branding—to reflect that same mission: stewarding well, living with clarity, and using business as a force for good.

A Mascot With Purpose

The new mascot isn’t just a cute add-on to my logo. It’s a visual reminder of what HavenlyCount stands for:

  • Faith over flash. It’s not about being trendy—it’s about being grounded.

  • Clarity over chaos. Numbers don’t have to be scary; they can give you peace and direction.

  • Service over self. My goal isn’t just to grow HavenlyCount—it’s to help others grow their businesses into something meaningful.

The shift may seem small to some. But for me, it’s a way of saying: this business isn’t built just for me. It’s built to serve God, my clients, and the greater good.

What This Means Going Forward

You’ll see HavenlyCount continue to carry that friendly, approachable energy—it’s still me behind the brand, after all. But you’ll also notice more intentional choices:

  • A mascot that reflects stewardship, balance, and integrity.

  • Messaging that ties bookkeeping back to Christian values of honesty and stewardship.

  • A business model that prioritizes clarity, peace, and freedom—not hustle culture or quick wins.

Because at the end of the day, bookkeeping isn’t about numbers. It’s about what those numbers allow us to do. When your books are clear, you’re free to dream bigger, give generously, and grow your business into something that lasts.

And that’s exactly what I want HavenlyCount to stand for.

✨ Closing thought: This change isn’t just cosmetic. It’s a declaration. HavenlyCount isn’t just a bookkeeping business—it’s a partner in stewardship. A guide toward clarity. And, I hope, a small light pointing back to values that matter most.
